How does this work?
After placing your order, you'll receive an order confirmation email with the shipping address for your inclusions. (Check your spam folder before reaching out!)

Once I receive your inclusions, the magic starts with preserving your breastmilk/formula and adding any other inclusions and enhancements with resin into your desired setting.
Each piece is unique to you. No two designs are exactly the same, but if there is a design love we can work with it to make it your own!
What inclusions can I send?
So many options!
- Breastmilk (2oz - this is enough for 3-5 pieces!)
- Formula (2 tbsp)
- Ashes (1 tsp is ideal, but any amount you're willing to send will work; the remainder will be returned)
- Lock of hair (2" long is ideal, taped to keep together)
- Dried Placenta (1 pill)
- Dried crushed umbilical cord (small piece of the stump before sending)
- Special flowers/leaves (~5 petals depending on size of flowers; press or hang dry several petals; ensure they are completely dry before shipping to prevent molding)
- Pregnancy test cap (You can send the whole cap or cut in half, keeping the rest as backup; no need to send the whole test)
Please note: Never send the last of your inclusions to prevent potential loss in transit. Always retain some as a backup.
How do I ship to you?
Ensure breastmilk is double bagged for safe shipping. Place your fresh/frozen milk in a breastmilk storage bag to prevent leaks, then insert the bag into a second breastmilk or ziplock bag to contain any potential leaks. For added security, consider triple bagging. It does not need to be kept cold.
Write your name and order number in sharpie on the outer ziplock or breastmilk bag (not the bubble mailer).
All other inclusions can be placed in a ziplock bag or one of those small round travel containers like these. Please include your name and order on this ziplock as well.
Place this into a padded envelope or bubble mailer for shipping, which usually is about $5. You can email me the tracking number at tinyowlskeepsakes@gmail.com if desired.
Please do not send via certified mail that requires a signature.
Please do not send the last of any inclusions in case the package goes missing or the breastmilk molds.
Please note that I am not liable for any lost items in transit. If your package is lost, you may choose to send it again.
What happens with leftover inclusions?
All extra inclusions, except breastmilk, will be returned to you with your keepsake.
I will keep any additional preserved breastmilk for future pieces, for 2 years.
Please reach out to see if we still have enough breastmilk to make another piece for you! There should be enough for 3-4 pieces.
Can I send expired or frozen milk?
Yes! Expired and spoiled milk is fine to use. Frozen is also fine - no need to thaw it either! You also will not need to keep it cold in the mail.
Please just inspect your milk for any mold before sending. We will be unable to accept moldy milk and will need you to send a new batch.
How do I care for my piece?
Resin is highly durable, but still requires some extra love and care. Please avoid heat, sunbathing, water, chemicals (inclusing soap, lotion and hand sanitizer), and exercise. Please see the warranties below and our policies page for more info on resin care!
If you want the most durable setting, choose 14k solid gold. Gold filled is still a beautiful and more affordable option, but while you can still wear these pieces daily, they will not last quite as long. (Though this type of plating can still last 10-30 years, depending on wear!)
Tarnishing is normal for silver and gold filled pieces. Using a polishing cloth can help restore it's shine!
Please do not have your ring resized. Your keepsake stone can not withstand that kind of heat and may melt. It is so important to make sure you are ordering the right size!
Warranties?
It's important to note that discoloration can affect all resin items due to the inherent chemical properties of resin. To maintain the integrity of your jewelry, please adhere to the care instructions provided, which advise keeping the pieces away from prolonged exposure to sunlight, heat, water, and chemicals. While our jewelry utilizes jeweler's grade resin containing UV stabilizers to minimize discoloration, it's worth mentioning that no resin is entirely impervious to damage from harsh chemicals, heat, and extended UV light.
We guarantee against discoloration for the first 3 months (90 days) following receipt of your item. Any discoloration issues arising from preservation would typically become apparent within this timeframe.
Cancellations?
You are able to cancel within 48 hours of your order. We order your custom setting from our jeweler and are unable to cancel the order after this time.
Refunds?
We do not accept returns or exchanges once your order is placed, as each piece is inherently unique due to the distinctiveness of inclusions.
Should you have any issues, please reach out to me at tinyowlskeepsakes@gmail.com, and we'll work together to resolve them.
It's crucial to be certain of ring size before ordering, as refunds or exchanges cannot be accommodated for incorrect sizes.
Please note that settings are customized for each piece. Variations are expected in resin stones and handcrafted jewelry, including but not limited to small bubbles, variations in color, minor imperfections and evidence of handcrafting.
Be sure to inspect your jewelry once you have received it. Should you notice any defects in the setting upon receiving your jewelry piece, or if the keepsake stone has significant flaws, you have 5 days to email us photos detailing your concerns. Tiny Owls Keepsakes will then determine whether the flaw falls within the expected range of variation and possible imperfections.
